چکیده
Background: There have been successive waves of SARS-CoV-2 variants since January 2020, the B.1.1.529 (Omicron) variant has led to a third upsurge in India December 2021. Neonates constitute vulnerable population and there is limited literature about naturalhistory, management, outcomes Omicron infected newborns. Aims Objectives: The study was conducted among newborns born COVID-19 positive mothers during upsurge. Materials Methods: Between 2021 2022, this on positivemothers single center We investigated maternal pregnancy complications, methods delivery, neonatal resuscitation, conditions, suspicious infectious status, morbidity based infections. Results: A total 39 neonates were with history delivery. None when tested or developed any disease specific symptoms postnatal period. Among neonates, 5 needed admissions newborn units. Birth asphyxia, transient tachypnea meconium aspiration syndrome seen along minor problems such as feed intolerance hyperbilirubinemia. Rest all had stable throughout hospital course. All infants developmentally followup up 6 months post-discharge. Conclusion: During COVID-19, very less complications we advise giving breast milk babies proper precautions rooming-in for lower income countries.
